1. Where do we send medical records and x-rays?

2. Do you schedule Independent Medical Evaluations (IME) nationally?

A: Yes. We provide IMEs and Record Reviews nationwide.

3. Do we need to organize the medical records before sending them to First MCO?

A. No. For your convenience, Active Care Auto, Inc. will sort and organize all medical records for you.

4. Are there other ways to schedule IMEs other than by telephone?

A. Yes. you can submit an on-line referral form by clicking this link , or fax a downloaded form to 973-257-2287.

5. What is your typical turnaround time for reports?

A. As required by AICRA, a preliminary report will be provided within 72 hours of the examination, if the referral is related to a request for treatment.

6. What if I need an IME report sooner?

A. Requests for priority scheduling can be accommodated.

7. What happens if a claimant fails to attend their IME appointment?

A. The first failed appointment will automatically be rescheduled, if the second appointment is missed without a reasonable excuse, the adjuster may cancel the request and benefits could be impacted.
