In 1979, First MCO and began working in the insurance industry to manage the growing complexity of utilization of care and costs associated with workers’ compensation and auto claims.
We became a licensed managed care organization in 1993 for the state of New Jersey. We continue to work with insurance companies, self-insurers, third party administrators and insurance funds to provide comprehensive medical management and cost containment services for workers’ compensation. Our programs include assessment of all patients to coordinate the most appropriate medical treatment enabling us to reduce inefficiencies, optimize care plans and improve financial management.
Our skilled medical team and professional staff will deliver optimal case management, utilization management, bill review and network access. At First MCO, we promote positive outcomes which control costs for every person and organization we serve. We do this by bringing together the technology, intelligence and human touch to the challenges of the workers’ compensation, auto insurance and group health marketplaces.
Bruce Nash, President & COO
Mr. Nash has been with First MCO for seventeen years. Prior to his role as President, Mr. Nash served as Chief Information Officer and Vice President in charge of Operations. Mr. Nash has been pivotal in the development of the technological advancements for the company and in growing First MCO to what it is today.
Prior to First MCO, Mr. Nash worked with the Robert Plan Corporation for nine years where he served as the Senior Vice President of MIS/Technology Services. Mr. Nash maintained a high level of service that was focused on cost containment and new technologies in both Telecommunications and MIS.
Mr. Nash attended DePaul University in Chicago with a focus on computer programming.
Ting-Tang Wu, Chief Information Officer
Mr. Wu has been with First MCO for fifteen years. Prior to his role as CIO, Mr. Wu was a Senior Programmer / Database Analyst. Throughout the last fifteen years, Mr. Wu’s impressive analytical skill set has not only been vital to the success and growth of our IT Department, but in the company’s growth as well. Mr. Wu is focused on office automation and process performance improvement.
Prior to First MCO, Mr. Wu worked with Agency.com for three years as Senior Technical Director. His primary responsibilities were overseeing projects with Fortune 500 companies and determining the technical direction for each project. Mr. Wu was with Quadris Consulting, Inc. for ten years prior to the company merging with Agency.com.
Mr. Wu earned an MS in Computer Science from Monmouth University in New Jersey.
Colleen Seal, Chief Client Officer
As Chief Client Officer, Colleen Seal is responsible for developing sales strategies that drive business growth and overall profitability, expanding sales operations, and new client implementation. Ms. Seal is a veteran in the managed care sales industry with over 25 years of experience in both regional and national sales.
Prior to joining First MCO, Ms. Seal worked with Healthcare Solutions/Optum. During her most recent role as Vice President of Regional Sales and Ancillary products, her team drove their base book of business, increased revenue and expanded their regional client base. Having worked in all aspects of sales, she understands what it takes to be successful. She has held key leadership roles in sales, account management, general management, product management, services, and operations.
Ms. Seal earned her undergraduate degree at West Chester University. She also has a Masters of Arts degree in Clinical Psychology.
Kelly Royce, RN, CCM, Senior Vice President – Managed Care and Network operations
Ms. Royce has been with First MCO for fourteen years. Prior to her role as SVP, Ms. Royce worked as a Nurse Case Manager. Ms. Royce runs the operations of the Workers’ Compensation and Auto Case Management Departments, as well as the Network Development Department. Her industry knowledge and years of experience have played a key role in client retention, business development, and product expansion.
Prior to First MCO, Ms. Royce worked as a staff nurse for Valley Hospital in Ridgewood, New Jersey.
Ms. Royce earned her Nursing Degree from Felician College and has her CCM Certification.
Linda Woods, RN, CCM , Director – Bill Review Operations
Ms. Woods has been with First MCO for ten years. Prior to her role as Director, Ms. Woods worked as a Nurse Case Manager. Ms. Woods directs our Bill Review operations for Workers’ Compensation and PIP Bill Review Services, Negotiations and Appeals.
Prior to First MCO, Ms. Woods worked as both a staff nurse and Supervisor at St. Clare’s Hospital in Denville, New Jersey. Ms. Woods’ experience also includes legal nurse consulting, home health and hospice care.
Ms. Woods earned her nursing degree from County College of Morris, and has her CCM Certification.
Ada Jackson, Director – Human Resources/Office Manager
Ms. Jackson has been with First MCO for over thirty years. She began working in the managed care industry when the company was Individualized Rehabilitation Programs (IRP). She participated in the process which lead IRP to become one of the first companies to receive New Jersey State licensure for Managed Care Services. Her history and experience with the company was invaluable during the transition of IRP to First MCO in 1993. Currently, Ms. Jackson manages of all facets of Human Resources and Employee Relations, including employee benefits and payroll administration, as well as administrative duties associated with office management.
Prior to First MCO, Ms. Jackson worked in the health and substance abuse fields for both small and large corporations
Magdalena Wach, CMA, Finance Director
Ms. Wach joined First MCO in 2003. As Finance Director with over ten years of experience in insurance and managed care corporate finances, Ms. Wach oversees and manages the accounting and operational areas of the Finance Department.
Prior to First MCO, Ms. Wach worked for a non-profit organization as a Project and Foreign Relations Coordinator. She was responsible for submitting bids for grants and pre-accession funds to various agencies, including the European Commission and the World Bank. Ms. Wach’s experience also includes cost and variance analysis, project budgeting, and reporting.
Ms. Wach earned her degree abroad at UMCS University. She holds the US equivalent of a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with majors in Economics and Marketing, and a Master’s degree in Business Administration.
Ms. Wach is a member of the Morris-Essex Chapter of the Institute of Management Accountants, and the Healthcare Financial Management Association.
Ms. Wach is a Certified Management Accountant (CMA).
Joshshina A. McGlotten, Director – Marketing and Business Development Support
Ms. McGlotten is new to First MCO. She brings more than 22 years of experience in sales, marketing, corporate finance, project and program management to her role. She is responsible for developing marketing strategies, brand management, communications, and strategic business development. In addition to marketing and supporting efforts in strategic business development, she directs media relations, advertising and website development.
Prior to joining First MCO, Ms. McGlotten worked on strategic business development and marketing at many companies and non-profits, spanning across multiple industries. She also spent several years as a Business Analyst and/or Project Manager with several Fortune 500 companies in banking, finance and insurance.
Ms. McGlotten holds a bachelor’s degree from Montclair State University. In her free time, she runs a small non-profit organization working toward community advancement and eliminating the US poverty gap. Ms. McGlotten is also an alumnus of Leadership Newark.
Jessica Alters, Director of National Network Department
Jessica Alters is responsible for network development, provider credentialing, PPO data integrity and Pennsylvania PPO provider recruitment at First MCO. She is bringing an extensive background in medical claims operation and is establishing strong relationships in the Pennsylvania provider community.
Ms. Alters has served in business development and operational roles in managed care companies for over a decade. At First MCO, her focus is improving various department performances and quality control to achieve the highest level of efficiency and satisfaction.
Before joining First MCO, Ms. Alters was the Account Manager at Optum and the PPO Arbitration and Appeals Surpervisor for Healthcare Solutions/Procura Management.
Debora Alvine, Manager – Bill Review Operations
Ms. Alvine has been with First MCO for seventeen years. Throughout her tenure, Ms. Alvine worked in the Bill Review Department, performing multiple roles. Ms. Alvine’s extensive medical billing experience and skillset proved instrumental in her earning her current position.
Prior to coming to work for First MCO, Ms. Alvine held various positions in the medical arena, amassing the experience necessary to become an integral member of our bill review team. In her current role, Ms. Alvine oversees the daily operations of Bill Review Services.
Mary Bresadola, RN, BSN, CCM, Manager – Case Management Operations
Ms. Bresadola has been with First MCO for fifteen years. Prior to her role as Manager, Ms. Bresadola worked as a Nurse Case Manager. Ms. Bresadola, oversees the Nurse Case Managers and support staff of the Workers’ Compensation, Auto Pre-cert and IME Departments.
Prior to First MCO, Ms. Bresadola worked as a Charge Nurse and Director of Nursing at two residential nursing facilities.
Ms. Bresadola earned her BSN at William Paterson College in Wayne New Jersey, and has her CCM Certification.
